Chuck Haselwood's journey from a sectarian farm in Ellensburg to a prominent entrepreneur and area leader in Bremerton is a testimony to his perseverance and business spirit. Born in 1923, Chuck's story started with a strong choice to leave the farming life and hitchhike to Bremerton, where he started his job functioning at a gasoline station. His service in The second world war under General Patton only developed his drive, leading him to get in the pre-owned auto business after returning home. Partnering with Danny Jones, Chuck launched his own gas station and marketed automobiles, eventually forming an enduring partnership with Bud Higgs to produce Chuck & Buds-- a cars and truck dealership that prioritized customer support, offering guarantees uncommon at the time.

Chuck's unrelenting drive for innovation led him to expand his organization beyond used vehicles. Chuck's legacy lives on not simply in the vehicles he offered, however in his deep commitment to his community, which proceeds to thrive in Kitsap County today.
